Our 2020 Counselor of the Year response to the award.

MRCEA,

I want to say thank you for the awarding of the MRCEA Counselor of the Year. This is a huge honor for me in my field. It came at a perfect time. This year has been challenging in many ways with COVID and your award gave me a strong push to continue to work hard for our customers. I appreciate all that MRCEA does including trainings and outreach. The validation and honor of being counselor of the year has resonated in my personal life as well, regarding advocating for blind hockey and other disability outreach.

As we recover from this pandemic the disability community will need as much support and advocacy as possible. Please continue to do the great work that you do! Again, thank you so much for the Counselor of the Year award.
